6 September ride
I left home in the mid afternoon as I had some things to do in the morning. It was cloudy, humid and warm, not spectacular but better than rain.
Recently these Saturday rides have been with Malcolm, Peter, Hiro or a combination of the above but today it was just me. So I went at 'mypace' to Shiriuchi and back. The wind seemed to change a lot but with a cadence of at least 90 RPM I was able to keep an average speed of 37km/hr (not including the warmup/down). Not bad.
On the way back I stopped at the Meihou bike shop and bought a couple of tyres (Michelin Pro Race 3) and a new tube.
Road bike to Shiriuchi.
Distance = 83 km
Bike time = 2hr 25min
Ride time = 2hr 30min
Avg speed = 35 km/hr
Max speed = 55 km/hr
Avg HR = 148 BPM
Max HR = 168 BPM
2008 total = 10502 km
